As many fabricators have found, the usual 1.2 and 1mm tube with bead rolled ends is simply not strong enough to support heavier duty clamps and are more prone to blowing off couplers at higher pressures.
The concept behind our no-slip ferrules is nothing new, more mechanical engagement inside a silicone coupler and a stronger ferrule will increase how much boost a silicone coupling can withstand. We simply drew it to the dimensions we wanted and designed it to look and weld the way we prefer for our own products.
